The Criterion Collection UK announce new releases for September

The Criterion Collection in the UK have announced details of the next releases coming up in September. These are Hiroshi Inagaki’s THE SAMURAI TRILOGY on 5 September and CAT PEOPLE on 26 September, the original 1942 version directed by Jacques Tourneur.
July releases coming up shortly are Howard Brookner’s BURROUGHS on 11 July (Aaron Brookner’s new film ‘Uncle Howard’ will be shown at the East End Film Festival on Saturday 3rd July) and DR STRANGELOVE on 25 July (Stanley Kubrick would have celebrated his 88th birthday on Tuesday 26 July). In August, the company has THE IN-LAWS starring Alan Arkin and Peter Falk on 15 August and D.A. Pennebaker’s groundbreaking documentary on Bob Dylan DON’T LOOK BACK on 22nd August.

New UK Criterion Titles for August

Details have been revealed of new UK titles due in August from the Criterion Collection, which demonstrate the amazing breadth of the collection. Both are blu-ray releases featuring the restored US editions of the films with their exclusive Artwork and comprehensive supplementary material. 15th August sees the release of the beloved mad-cap comedy THE IN-LAWS starring Peter Falk and Alan Arkin, and is followed on 22nd August by DON’T LOOK BACK, the ground-breaking documentary portrait of Bob Dylan.
